The potatoes are washed and boiled. When they are cooked, we peel them and cut them into rounds.

Cook the onion for 3-4 minutes. in a pan in which oil was placed. Add the minced meat over the onion and keep it on the fire until the meat is slightly white. Remove from the heat, allow to cool slightly and add 2 eggs, chopped parsley, salt and pepper and 50 ml. Tomato juice.

Grease a heat-resistant dish with butter and place a layer of potatoes, meat, then potatoes.

I beat the remaining egg with a little salt, mixed it with 1 tablespoon of sour cream and a little tomato juice and poured it over the potatoes. Over all this I grated cheese. The dish is put in the preheated oven and keep until the potatoes are nicely browned.

Potato bite with minced meat and tomato sauce simple recipe

Potato bite with minced meat and tomato sauce simple recipe. A classic, simple and tasty food. How to make Romanian potato mousse? With a layer of white sauce (bechamel) and grated cheese, au gratin in the oven. This moussaka is made according to my mother's recipe and is very tasty. It has a minced meat sauce with onion and garlic and a creamy start of white sauce.

Musacaua has Arab origins and arrived in the Balkans on the Greek chain. Traditionally, this potato bite is prepared with lamb or beef, but variants with pork or poultry are also common. I used a mixture of beef and pork. A potato bite involves layers of potato slices (I boiled them in their skins, but some recipes mention raw and short-fried potatoes in hot oil) alternating with layers of minced meat fried with onions and spices.

Here you see the authentic recipe for moussaka with potatoes, eggplant and meat & # 8211 see here.

Both variants of moussaka have an upper layer consisting of white sauce (bechamel). In some cases they can be sprinkled with grated cheese which is au gratin very well in the oven.

I recently made a kind of pan-fried moussaka (without oven) with minced meat, potatoes and a lot of tasty sauce & # 8211 see here.

From the quantities below it results approx. 4-6 servings of mashed potatoes with minced meat and tomato sauce. You can also use leftover cold steaks that you chop & # 8211 a good idea for recycle.

Potato bite

The moussaka recipe with mashed potatoes and beef is part of our family's traditional repertoire.

Although I have often eaten nutmeg, I have only recently tried my mother's recipe. I was surprised to see how fast it can be done.

This combination, not recommended in diets, meat and potatoes does not bother me now. Well, I admit that I don't even prepare this dish very often, so from time to time I allow myself a little culinary getaway.

In the recipe I will use minced veal because this was also the traditional recipe in our family. I quite often replaced pork with beef. But you can use either pork, chicken or even a mixture of pork and beef.

Meat mashed potatoes

It is not a fatty preparation at all, the mashed potatoes used in the recipe absorb the fat from the meat very well and at the same time provide the fineness necessary for a tasty meal. But I recommend small portions, because it is quite filling. If you put a few pickles together then this recipe is only good for a cold autumn day.

To control the amount consumed you can portion it into small ceramic pots, that's what I did. If not, you can put it in a single large heat-resistant ceramic dish that you can put in the middle of the table when you serve a delicious family lunch.

Potato bite

For a week I kept saying that I was going to make a bite because I was very hungry, but & # 8230 I postponed & # 8230and I kept postponing & # 8230 In the end, today I succeeded.

The recipe I propose is a lighter one (if I may say so) than the standard recipes, because instead of french fries, I make it with boiled potatoes.

As you can see from the table below, moussaka is a very calorically dense food even if no french fries are used (these would bring the number of calories per serving closer to or even exceed 700).

Due to the high content of proteins, minerals and vitamins and if consumed in moderation musacau becomes a healthy food.

This food is also high in carbohydrates and fats and you should not overdo it.

If you have a craving for moussaka, try this recipe or other recipes that do not involve frying potatoes.

Place the dish in the preheated oven, on the middle stage, over medium heat (180 degrees C) for 30 minutes.

Towards the end, remove and add the two beaten eggs and the grated cheese on top. Put it back in the oven and keep it for a few more minutes (only until the eggs are cooked and the cheese is melted).

Good appetite!
